GALLOWAY TWP.--The local business community was updated on the NextGen Aviation and Research Technology Park Monday.
Congressman Frank LoBiondo joined members of the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce to speak about the project that's expected to be one of the most important economic development initiatives in the region.
The park is being built on a 55-acre site next to the FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center. The project will cost between $300 to $400 million and it's expected to bring two thousand jobs to the area, "Not many communities in the nation have the chance to be on the cutting edge of a program that will affect not only the whole country but the whole world," said LoBiondo.
LoBiondo says the building phase of the project will be entered into soon.
