ADOPT A ROAD - offers organizations and groups an opportunity to keep Atlantic County beautiful. The organization receives valuable publicity and credit for the good work it's doing on behalf of the Atlantic County environment. 
BEAUTIFICATION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM - a public-private partnership program to beautify and maintain intersections, highway medians and traffic circles throughout Atlantic County. The Atlantic County Beautification Partnership Program encourages businesses to adopt median strips and certain other property along public rights of way and maintain and beautify the areas in exchange for appropriate advertising. 
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT- Find comprehensive statistical and demographic information on our new Economic Development Web site.
ENGINEERING - plans, designs, inspects and administers all construction contracts relating to county roads, bridges, traffic signals and related infrastructure.  
PUBLIC WORKS - The Atlantic County Department of Public Works maintains over 371 miles of county roads and rights of way, 254 bridges andover 100 traffic signals, manages the County Park System and the Office of Mosquito Control.
REGIONAL PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT - Atlantic County's Department of Regional Planning and Development includes Policy, Planning and Development, Engineering, Land Acquisition and Geographical Information Systems.
SITE PLAN AND SUBDIVISION REVIEW - A subdivision of any size located anywhere within the boundaries of Atlantic County is subject to planning board review and action. Any site plan along a County road or which affect County drainage is subject to review and approval.
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT - Atlantic County is required to formulate and adopt a Solid Waste Management Plan which addresses issues surrounding the generation, collection, transportation, disposal and recycling of solid waste for the County of Atlantic. Implementation of solid waste recycling programs is carried out by the Atlantic County Utilities Authority
