Atlantic County government hosted a 9/11 anniversary ceremony on the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our country. It served as a solemn remembrance of the nearly 3,000 victims who tragically lost their lives on that fateful day as well as a grateful tribute to our courageous first responders who risk their lives to protect the safety and well being of their fellow citizens.
The ceremony took place on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 11 AM at the Anthony "Tony" Canale Training Center, Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
The ceremony featured local fire, police and EMS representatives, patriotic musical selections, color guards, bag pipers, memorial wreaths, a portion of a steel beam from the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York City. U.S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo provided the keynote address.
