First Steps Pistol The First Step Pistol course provides a general overview of the handgun. The course includes our range orientation. It will also provide operation information on the shooters specific handgun. The participant will learn general firearms safety and participate in a live fire exercise with our instructors. This course is required for all new members before they are permited to shoot on the pistol range. The cost is $35. You will need note taking materials, your handgun and at least fifty rounds of ammunition for this course. |

Control Burn - NJ Fire Service The range may close early on Sunday depending upon weather conditons. The NJ Fire Service will be conducting a control burn behind all three ranges to reduce the threat of forest fire. If you plan to shoot Sunday afternoon, please call the range before coming. |

Smallbore .22 Cal Rifle Competitive Shooting Seminar Atlantic County Firearms Training Facility is offering five Smallbore Competitive shooting events for this 2012 season. Because of this offering, we are providing the range membership the opportunity to participate in a Smallbore Competitive Rifle Seminar to those members who wish to participate in these shooting events.
This Seminar will be instructed by one of our Certified NRA Coaches, and will provide the new competitive shooter with a base line to get started in these competitive events.
Fee: $35.00 Cash or checks
The Seminar will cover the following;
Rifle type that are suitable our competitive events
Suitable Sights for these events (Telescopic Sights (Scopes) will not be covered)
Ammunition types suitable for the events
Targets used in these events
Shooting positions used in these events
Minimum equipment requirements
Optional and recommended equipment
Class will include the practical application of the instruction
Participants need to bring the following to the class;
.22 Cal Bolt action Rifle with metallic sights (No Scoped rifles)
50 rounds of .22 Cal. Ammunition (Leave in your personal vehicle)
Any equipment that the participant currently uses, such as spotting scopes and shooting mats.
