Membership Requirements

In an effort to provide a safe shooting environment, every person seeking membership with the Atlantic County Firearms Training Facility must complete an Orientation program and an approved firearms safety course.

Range Orientation

The Orientation Program is approximately an hour and a half long and provides each new member with all of the necessary policy information a member will need for a safe and enjoyable time at the range.  This program will review all of the range rules and regulations. Safety is emphasized throughout the program. Each participant will be provided with a copy of the Range Manual, given a tour of the facility as well as being provided with an opportunity to have their questions answered about the range operation.

Safety Training Requirements
Each Orientation session is immediately followed by a National Rifle Association FIRST Steps training course.  This course or an approved equivalency is required for range membership. Those individuals seeking membership who have completed a safety training course elsewhere may present their course completion certificate at the range office for evaluation. If the previously attended course satisfactorily meets the training requirements, only the Orientation Program need be completed prior to the issuance of a Range membership ID card.

The Atlantic County Firearms Training Facility makes every effort to provide the necessary FIRST Steps firearms training sessions several times each month with more advanced training courses being offered throughout the year.
