for the annual Donald J. Sykes Awards.
Eligible nominees will be honored during
Disabilities Awareness Month in October.
The Office on Disability facilitates a network of information and cooperation among agencies servicing residents with disabilities to insure their needs are considered in local, state and national policy and plans. The office provides technical advice and consultation regarding laws, regulations and issues affecting individuals with disabilities. The Office of Disability administers the Personal Assistance Services Program (PASP) which provides adults with physical disabilities opportunities to work, attend school or vocational training and live independently in the community. Information and assistance about programs and services for individuals with disabilities is coordinated with Intergenerational Services' Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC).
