Supported Work Program
Division of Facilities - Capital Planning and property management

The Atlantic County Division of Facilities/Capital Planning & Property Management provides a full service maintenance operation responsible for over one million square feet in all county buildings. Services include cleaning, pest control, fire and burglar alarm systems, elevator inspections, and HVAC maintenance.

The division is responsible for ensuring that properties meet state and federal health and safety codes.

Facilities Management also performs renovations and new construction. Planning and implementation of capital improvements involving county facilities is initiated within this division.

A unit within the Division of Facilities/Capital Planning & Property Managementis the Supported Work Program. Supported Work hires unemployed persons wishing to re-enter the workplace. Persons are trained as a member of a cleaning crew and counseled in seeking employment. Participants may remain in the program for a period of six months with the intent to gain permanent employment prior to the end of that period.
