Store Membership ID
U.S. Passport

2. Have the voter sign the poll book and the voting

Q. WHAT DO I DO IF THE VOTER DOES NOT HAVE IDENTIFICATION?
A. Voter must vote by Provisional ballot as follows:
1. Give the voter a provisional ballot and envelope.
2. Direct the voter to fill in the affirmation statement and vote the
ballot.
3. When the voter returns the ballot, make sure the affirmation statement
is filled in.
4. The voter or the board worker must place the voted ballot in the orange
provisional ballot bag.
5. Hand the voter the Provisional Ballot Handout, "Notice to Provisional
Ballot Voter."
The election officials in each county need to work out a method by which
the provisional ballot envelope has some notation to identify that the
ballot was used because the voter did not show identification at the polling
place. This could mean a reprinting of the envelope; some stamping or
other type of marking on the envelope; or other method that the election
officials believe will work best for them. Identification of this ballot
will be particularly important in the event that S-701 is law as of the
June Primary. That bill provides for a 48 hour grace period after the
election for a provisional ballot voter to provide identification. |
