Teen Arts Festival 2012 - General Information and Registration

The 2012 Teen Arts Festival will take place in the Art District of Hammonton, NJ. This includes the area of Bellevue Avenue, Second & Third Streets, & Vine Street (CLICK HERE to view map of the district).This new space requires additional regulations of participating students and schools.

2012 Teen Arts Festival, Thursday May 3 in the Arts District of Hammonton, NJ

ID BADGES – All students MUST wear their school identification badges while at the Festival.

CHAPERONES – Because the festival takes place in multiple public venues, each school must provide adequate chaperones - 2 per class/20 students.

APPLICATION & REGISTRATION Deadline April 3. All participants must be pre-registered by April 3. There will be no on-site registration. Any school sending multiple students must complete an application and submit the Festival registration fee.

Individual students, such as home-schooled or those attending thru a private arts instructor, should use the application pertaining to the area of participation (e.g. VOCAL MUSIC application). A $10 registration fee should accompany this application. (See Registration below to download an application.)

NO SMOKING – The Teen Arts Festival is a no smoking event.

THE ART DISTRICT  – Students and also teachers and chaperones are expected to remain within the art district at all times. A map of the district will be provided with the festival program guide.

AREA FOR CHECK-IN AND GENERAL INFORMATION AT FESTIVAL A tent outside the Eagle Theater on Vine Street will serve as “Information Central.” Here all participants should check-in and receive their Festival Program Guide. All teen participants will also receive and be required to wear wristbands. The area will also serve as the “lost & found” and fist aid as well as equipment storage.

SCHOOL BUS DROP OFF AND PICK UP – Buses will drop off and pick up students at the Eagle Theater on Vine Street. A check-in and area will be set up under tents in this lot. Teachers and chaperones are required to sign in and provide cell phone numbers for emergency contact.

VENUES – Numerous venues throughout the Art District will house the workshops, master classes and performances. A map will be included in the Festival Program Guide and volunteers will be on hand to assist lost participants.

FOOD AND DRINK – Businesses throughout the Art District have food and drink available for purchase.   A list will be provided in the Festival Program Guide.

RESTROOMS – Portable restroom facilities will be available in the lot next to the Eagle Theater.  Accessible restroom facilities are available inside the Eagle Theatre. Rest areas with tables and chairs are also available in many areas throughout the Art District.

HIGH TRAFFIC AREA – Volunteers and Hammonton Police will be on-hand to assist with pedestrian traffic issues. Participants must concern themselves with obeying all traffic rules while at the Festival. Crossing is allowed only at designated crosswalks.

Registration:

Please include all requested information – Please complete this registration form when you are certain of all the details of your entry. The form will not allow incomplete information. 

NOTE – A contact email address is needed on all applications. All contact and confirmation will take place via email. All registration forms MUST indicate a contact email address.

Deadline for submission is April 3, 2012.

Each and every participant must be included in registration:  we need to have each and every participant registered. It is suggested that you take one application, save it to your desktop, fill in all the appropriate contact info, save it again to desktop with this info and then fill out or have each student fill out an individual form. However, if you are registering a very large group performing the same piece together, (i.e. a band, orchestra, large theatre or musical theatre group, or a large group of dancers) we will accept an application form with a list of students attached. Please be ready to provide all the students names, ages, instruments if appropriate, at the time you apply. For visual art teachers, please be ready to supply the complete list of students’ names, titles, media, and size of artwork before registering.

Confirmation of registration – We will email the teacher, parent or adult contact the confirmation of the registration.

REGISTRATION FEE:
Fee for individual participant:  $10.00 each. This fee must accompany the registration form. Checks should be made out to the Hammonton Art Center.
Fee for schools: $1.00 per student participant. A check or invoice should accompany the registration form. If invoiced, payment must be received not later than June 15, 2012. Checks should be made out to the Hammonton Art Center.
