What is the Teen Arts Program? A one-day Teen Arts Festival is held annually in early May. Any teen from throughout Atlantic County is invited to display their talent, meet with professionals in the field for critique and attend hands-on workshops or master classes. State FestivalA State Festival is held at the end of May. Any teen or school can attend the State Festival where they may also participate in workshops and master classes – and have the opportunity to engage with peers and professionals throughout the State. Professional artist reviewers at the County level also select performances that they feel are particularly accomplished and invite them to perform at the state festival. The same is involved with visual art, writing and film. Due to lack of funding there will be no State Festival this year. Come Join Us!We encourage area artists, teachers, school administrators and parents of teens active in the fine and performing arts to work with us to provide an even wider range of programs and opportunities for the Atlantic County Teen Arts Program. We encourage your comments and ideas. Please contact the Atlantic County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs at (609) 646-8699, Ext. 6314. For more information contact: |
