Dear Atlantic County Beautification Partner Site Sponsor:

Now that spring has arrived, I'd like to offer a few hints on how to make your site express a statement of beauty. Have your contracted landscape company do the following:

1. Improve grass area of your site by applying fertilizer, lime and crabgrass preventer.

2. Do a spring clean up on your site.

a. Cut grass.

b. Re-define bed edges.

c. Rake and clean up leaves, debris and trash.

d. Clean street curb area.

3. Replenish mulch with a good quality mulch. (No red mulch please).

4. Remove any dead or sick plant material and replace.

5. Consider adding flowers, such as pansies for color (pansies will tolerate cold weather.) Annuals such as begonias, impatiens, etc. should not be planted before May 15th. Many sites are becoming more established and looking great. Please take a look at your sponsored site and be sure it looks beautiful. Help Atlantic County to set a precedent, this program should be in "full bloom" at this time.

Thank you for making Atlantic County even more beautiful.
