Southern NJ Perinatal Cooperative - Atlantic City

Hours: 

Serves as the Maternal and Child Health Consortia for the seven southern most counties of New Jersey (Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties). Programs include: Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition - outreach to pregnant women who are not receiving necessary prenatal care. Pregnancy Healthline - information and referral for pregnant women and their physicians to obtain the most current research on the effects of various toxins and prenatal exposures on the developing fetus. WIC Breast Feeding Initiative - services to consumers and health care professionals to promote, support and protect the efforts of WIC participants who want to breast feed. Healthy Families (Atlantic City) - promotes positive parent-child interactions and positive growth and development. At-risk families receive long-term, intensive home visits by specially-trained lay family support workers who support and educate the parents within their own family setting. Infant And Family Development (IAFD) - an early intervention program for high-risk infants and their families in Atlantic County. The goal is to lower the incidence of developmental delay of at-risk infants, and prevent their abuse and neglect by providing extensive at-home, remedial, rehabilitative and educational services by health care professionals.
