For more information about this intersection project, visit www.aclink.org/planning.

Lanes in both directions will remain open to traffic.

Police will be onsite to assist. Work is contingent on weather conditions.

Beginning Monday, July 14, a periodic detour may be utilized for eastbound traffic only on Mill Road in Egg Harbor Township, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, during the preliminary phase of construction for the county’s improvements to the intersection of Fire and Mill roads.

Mill Road and Fire Road Improvement Project

The improvements at the intersection of Mill Road and Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township will significantly enhance the capacity and function of this important intersection, located within one of Atlantic County's growth areas. The presence of the Garden State Parkway and the extent of wetlands and other environmentally sensitive areas all served to limit the potential for a larger expansion of this intersection, and required extensive regulatory review under both the NJDEP and Pinelands Commission due to the joint jurisdiction held by both agencies. Extensive off site mitigation was required under the three NJDEP and the single Pinelands permit.
