Levinson Nominates Judith Watson to Cultural and Heritage Advisory Board

Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson has announced the nomination of Judith R. Watson of Hammonton to the Atlantic County Cultural and Heritage Advisory Board. Watson is a former art teacher with 34 years experience and a founding member and secretary of the Hammonton Art Center.

"It is my pleasure to nominate Judith Watson to this board," said Levinson. "Not only does her background and experience lend itself to this position, but she possesses a sincere interest in the arts and the promotion of education and culture. I am confident she will contribute greatly."

Watson earned a bachelor of arts degree in Art Education from Glassboro State College (Rowan University). She has been active in several community organizations including the Hammonton Women's Civic Club where she formerly served as president, the Hammonton Family Center and the Hammonton Recreation Club.

"I am very pleased that County Executive Levinson has nominated Judith Watson to this important position," said Freeholder Jim Curcio who represents the western section of Atlantic County. "She is one of Hammonton's outstanding citizens. I am sure that she will be an invaluable asset to the board and I look forward to working with her on matters of mutual interest."

The Atlantic County Cultural and Heritage Advisory Board consists of nine appointed members who serve to advise the County Executive on all matters relating to the acquisition, preservation and dissemination of information that promotes an awareness of and appreciation for the culture and heritage of the county.

Watson's nomination requires the advice and consent of the Atlantic County Board of Freeholders.
