Silipena Appoints Joe Kelly to Freeholder Budget Committee

Atlantic County Board of Freeholders Chairman Joseph F. Silipena announced today the appointment of Freeholder-at-Large Joe Kelly to the Freeholder Budget and Finance Committee. Kelly, a resident of Buena Vista Township, was elected to the Board in November 2004.
"I am very pleased that Joe is willing to serve in this capacity," said Silipena. "It is my strong desire that this important committee have representation from both political parties. I am sure that Joe will be a valuable asset and help provide insight and balance."
County Executive Dennis Levinson said he was pleased by Kelly's appointment. "It is important that our Freeholder Budget and Finance Committee operate in a bipartisan spirit. With the support we have received from the Board of Freeholders, Atlantic County has been able to achieve the lowest tax rate in its history and a stable budget. I am certain that Joe will be very helpful in working for the best interests of our citizens and taxpayers," Levinson said.
Kelly replaces Jim Carney who resigned from the committee. |
