Levinson Nominates Rick Amos to Ethics Board

Rick Amos of Hammonton has been nominated by Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson to the Atlantic County Ethics Board.

"I am very pleased that Rick has agreed to serve as a member of the Atlantic County Ethics Board. He has an excellent background. I have every reason to believe that he will carry out his duties in a competent and objective manner," Levinson said.

Amos is currently a licensed mortgage broker with Wharton Investment Network in Hammonton He served as a council person in Hammonton from January 1998 to December 1999 and has a long history of community and civic involvement.

Freeholder James Curcio, whose district includes Hammonton, stated that he was very pleased by Amos' nomination. "Rick Amos is a highly respected citizen and he will do an excellent job. I am grateful that County Executive Levinson continues to seek qualified citizens from the western section of Atlantic County when making key appointments," Curcio said.

Amos is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School, where he graduated with a dual major in management and marketing.

The Atlantic County Ethics Board is responsible for receiving, reviewing and investigating complaints related to possible violations of the County Code of Ethics or financial disclosure requirements. The Board has broad powers and may render advisory opinions to county officers and employees and issue subpoenas related to matters which they may be investigating.

Amos' appointment will require the advice and consent of the Board of Freeholders.
