BIOGRAPHY

 

Colin Bell was elected Freeholder-at-Large in 2012 and took office on January 2, 2013. Freeholder Bell is an attorney with the law firm Hankin Sandman & Palladino with offices in Atlantic City and Cape May Court House, where he specializes in commercial litigation. Prior to entering private practice, he served as an Assistant Atlantic County Prosecutor, where he successfully prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases. He has also served as a police legal advisor and instructor at the Atlantic County Police Training Center.

Freeholder Bell has been recognized as a Rising Star in the New Jersey legal community by New Jersey Monthly magazine for 2010, 2011, and 2012, and was recognized as one of Atlantic County’s Top 40 Under 40 by Atlantic City Weekly in 2008. He is a graduate of Oakcrest High School and received both his undergraduate and law degrees from American University in Washington, D.C.

Freeholder Bell serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic City Boys & Girls Club, the Chelsea Neighborhood Association, and the Richard Stockton College Holocaust Resource Center. A lifelong resident of Atlantic County, he grew up in Hamilton Township and now lives in Margate with his wife, Sarah Beth Johnson, and their son, Asher and daughter, Sloane.
