A Regular meeting of the Atlantic County Board of Chosen Freeholders was called to order by Chairman James Curcio at 4:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Savings Time, on the above-mentioned date at the Stillwater Building, 201 Shore Road, Northfield, New Jersey. |

Statement of Open Public Meeting Compliance: Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, Chairman Curcio announced that adequate notice of this meeting, as required by said Act, has been provided to The Press, the Mainland Journal, posted on the bulletin boards at 1333 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City, the Stillwater Building, 201 Shore Road, Northfield and the County Clerk’s Office in Mays Landing. |

RESOLUTION NO. 218
AGREEMENT FOR AN ON-LINE CATALOGING SUB-SYSTEM AND AN INTERLIBRARY LOAN SUB-SYSTEM |
Freeholder Formica moved and Freeholder Dase seconded a motion to enter into an agreement with Lyrasis for an on-line cataloging sub-system and an interlibrary loan sub-system for an amount not to exceed $30,000.00.

Freeholder Sutton moved and Freeholder Formica seconded a motion to award contracts to various vendors to purchase library goods and services for an aggregate amount not to exceed $650,000.00.

Freeholder Formica moved and Freeholder Cooper seconded a motion to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Northfield regarding signal installation at the intersection of Zion Road and Oak Avenue for an amount not to exceed $21,523.00.

Freeholder Formica moved and Freeholder Sutton seconded a motion to award a bid contract to Atlantic Coast Alarm, Inc. for Phase I of the Center Control Renovations; identification, tagging and testing of wiring in Center Control at the Atlantic County Justice Facility for an amount not to exceed $80,240.00.

North Carolina Avenue, Atlantic City for an amount not to exceed $90,000.00 (first year) - $92,400.00 (second year) - $94,800.00 (third year).

Chairman Curcio opened the meeting to the public for their comments at 4:36 p.m.
Myron Plotkin, Labor Negotiator for Lodge No. 34, Corrections Officers, apprised the Board of the current status of negotiations (See Enclosed).
Austin Tyson asked regarding the Prosecutor’s Office, how did they get their raise without going to arbitration?
Jeff Keaton, Vice President of FOP 34 spoke regarding the timeline of the negotiations.
John Cosby, Secretary of FOP No. 34 spoke regarding the negotiations.
Carlos ?, a Correction Officer for 11 ½ years is very frustrated regarding the negotiations.
Carl Westcoat, a Correction Officer for 18 years, expressed concern over not getting raises.
Anthony Tyson stated that in the 2008 negotiations the officers came to the table with facts and the County offered them no options.
Myron Eberwine, Correction Officer expressed his concern over the negotiations.
There were no further comments and Chairman Curcio closed the public portion at 5:13 p.m. |

Freeholder Cooper spoke regarding the Atlantic City Bartender event at Sophia’s next Tuesday. |
