In collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, the Children and Families Initiative and five Family Centers have incorporated the Family Success Center model and are now known as the Atlantic County Family Success Centers (FSC). The Atlantic County Family Success Centers continue to address concerns raised by the Kid’s Count Report and they continue to embody the philosophy, format, location, and services of the Children and Families Initiative. The Family Success Centers continue to be “one stop” multi service sites that provide wrap around resources for families necessary to prevent crisis. The FSCs work in collaboration with families to identify and resolve issues while empowering families so that they can move towards self sufficiency. NJ FamilyCare is a federal and state funded health insurance program created to help New Jersey's uninsured children have affordable health coverage. It is not a welfare program. NJ FamilyCare is for families who do not have available or affordable employer insurance, and cannot afford to pay the high cost of private health insurance.
