Atlantic County 2005 Economic Development Forum

Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson invites the public to attend the Atlantic County 2005 Economic Development Forum on Wednesday, March 16 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, One Miss America Way, Atlantic City. The forum will begin at 8:30 AM with a continental breakfast. Presentations will begin at 9 AM.

"This forum provides a unique opportunity for our residents to meet with representatives from the public and private sectors that contribute to the economic development of Atlantic County," he stated. "I encourage the public to attend this worthwhile event."

The forum will include an overview of the South Jersey regional economy by Joel L. Naroff of Commerce Bank. Additional speakers will include Joe Gurwicz of Max Gurwicz and Sons with a presentation on housing; Chet Sherman of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development with a discussion about labor; Mark Wampler of Hamilton Mall with a presentation on retail development; Jeffrey Vasser from the Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Authority will discuss tourism; Denise Mason of Wachovia Bank will address banking; and Don Parker of AtlantiCare will discuss health care. The forum will also include a growth municipalities update and its impact on the residents of Atlantic City, Egg Harbor Township, Galloway Township and Hamilton Township.

The forum is made possible through the cooperation of the Center for Regional & Business Research at Atlantic Cape Community College, the Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board, Schoffer Enterprises, and the Atlantic City Regional Chamber of Commerce.
