Traffic Safety Advisory - Dorset Avenue Bridge

Work on the first stage of structural repairs for the Dorset Avenue Birdge in Ventnor will begin on Monday, February 14. A new steel beam will be installed under the bridge deck to replace a deteriorated beam that was discovered during the state's bi-annual inspection. While this work is being performed, the Dorset Avenue Bridge will be closed to all traffic. Working hours will be from 9 AM to 5 PM. The bridge will reopen each evening. This work is expected to be completed no later than Friday, February 18.

Designs are progressing for a full deck and deck beam replacement project. That work is expected to begin in late April and be completed prior to Memorial Day.
