The Atlantic County Department of Regional Planning and Development will host a Municipal Stormwater Conference on Thursday, February 10 at 8:30 AM at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology, 5080 Atlantic Avenue, Mays Landing.
The goal of the conference is to provide program coordinators and municipal officials with an overview of the state's Municipal Stormwater Regulation Program and develop strategies for cost effective implementation at state, county and municipal levels.
The Municipal Stormwater Regulation Program addresses pollutants entering our waters from certain storm drainage systems owned or operated by local, county, state, interstate or federal government agencies. The program is a critical component of the broader watershed management based initiatives that serve to protect drinking water, ensure the existence of healthy ecosystems and a sustained quality of life for residents.
