Levinson Proclaims Evelyn Penza Day
County Executive Dennis Levinson will present an executive certificate declaring Tuesday, November 16, 2004 as Evelyn Penza Day in Atlantic County in honor of the Hammonton "Pie Lady's" national television appearance on the Food Network later that evening. He will make the presentation at 2 PM on November 16 at the Red Barn Farm Market, Route 206, Hammonton.
Penza, a Hammonton native, owns the Red Barn Farm Market and has been making pies for 30 years. The Food Network recently filmed a pre-Thanksgiving segment featuring her locally famous pumpkin-ricotta pie for "Roker on the Road" that will air Tuesday, November 16 at 9 PM.
