Volunteers Needed for Health Insurance Assistance

The New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services is seeking volunteer counselors to assist residents in completing health insurance applications and claims. Training sessions for new State Health Insurance Program (S.H.I.P.) volunteers will be held each Wednesday, between October 20 and November 17, from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Shoreview Building, 101 S. Shore Road, Northfield.

S.H.I.P. provides free objective information and assistance on Medicare and Medigap health insurance, PAAD, Senior Gold and the Medicare Prescription Program.
