The Atlantic County Library System joins with the American Library Association and libraries across the country to promote “The Smartest Card is @ your Library”, a campaign to make the library card the most valued and used card in every wallet.
Timed to coincide with the beginning of the school year, the campaign also reminds parents that a library card is the most important school supply of all. A library card gives free access to books and CDs, magazines and movies, and many other educational and recreational resources.
To sign up for an Atlantic County Library System card, please present a valid NJ driver’s license, tax bill, or other proof of your current address. There is no minimum age restriction, but children 13 and younger must have a parent’s permission.
Visit any Atlantic County Library System branch or the bookmobile to get a library card. Branches are conveniently located in Brigantine, Egg Harbor Township, Galloway Township, Hammonton, Longport, Mays Landing, Pleasantville, Somers Point, and Ventnor. For a bookmobile schedule, call 625-2776, extension 6325.
