Safe Haven Press Conference - July 1

County Executive Dennis Levinson will hold a press conference on Thursday, July 1 at 2 PM to announce a campaign to educate the public about the Safe Haven Protection Act and to identify the Atlantic City Rescue Mission as an alternative drop off site for unwanted infants.

The Atlantic County Department of Family and Community Development recently received a $10,000 grant from the NJ Department of Human Services to educate the public about the Safe Haven Protection Act that allows a mother or her designee to leave an unwanted infant at a police station or hospital without fear of criminal prosecution.

The press conference will be held at the Rescue Mission, 2009 Bacharach Boulevard, Atlantic City.
