Atlantic County to Host Public Meeting on State Plan

Atlantic County will host a public meeting conducted by the New Jersey State Planning Commission to discuss proposed changes to the State Plan on Thursday, July 1 at 7 PM at the Anthony Canale Training Center, 5033 English Creek Avenue, Egg Harbor Township.

The purpose of the State Plan is to coordinate planning activities and establish Statewide planning objectives in the following areas: land use, housing, economic development, transportation, natural resource conservation, agriculture and farmland retention, recreation, urban and suburban redevelopment, historic preservation, public facilities and services, and intergovernmental coordination.

The State Planning Commission is conducting one meeting in each of the state's 21 counties as part of the public process for updating the State Plan and providing all interested parties with an opportunity to comment.
