The new Atlantic County Criminal Court Complex is featuring the work of nature photographer Michael Hogan, a resident of Dorothy, Weymouth Township, in its public gallery through the month of June. Hogan specializes in depicting the quiet natural beauty of southern New Jersey, particularly within the fragile environment of the Pine Barrens, which the artist is active in protecting and preserving. The court complex is located at 4997 Unami Boulevard in the Hamilton Business Park in Mays Landing.
County Executive Dennis Levinson explained that the gallery, located in the building's first floor atrium, will feature a different local or regional artist every two months. The building's other public areas feature permanent pieces from area artists such as George Miller, Marilyn Brent, David Ahlsted, Susan Heinz, Elizabeth Domenico and Margaret Moorhouse.
"We are pleased to showcase the broad range of talent and creativity of our local arts community in this beautiful new facility," said Levinson. "I encourage our residents and visitors to take advantage of this free public gallery."
The facility is open to the public, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
