Three students from the Brigantine Elementary School recently took top honors in the Atlantic County Constitutional Officer's annual poster contest, sponsored by Sheriff James McGettigan, County Clerk Michael J. Garvin and Surrogate Janice Mathis. The contest, held each April in observance of County Government Week, challenges fourth graders throughout the county to create posters that depict all that is special and unique about Atlantic County and how it relates to government.
First place honors went to Zach Fabel. Fellow Brigantine Elementary students Natasha Faswala and Kacey Reynolds won second and third place honors. Nine other Brigantine Elementary students received honorable mention honors: Brandi Cordaro, Jenica Baligod, Taylor Wilkins, Steven Peterson, Michelle Robbins, Gianna Junk, Doug Brown, Tanya Duque and Sean Sweeney, in addition to Caitlyn Bordonaro of Dr. Joy Miller Elementary School in Egg Harbor Township.
All of the entries were displayed at the Atlantic County Library in Mays Landing during County Government Week, April 18-24, and awards were presented to the top three winners at a ceremony on April 23.
