One Stop Career Center Has Moved

On March 29th, Atlantic County opened its comprehensive One Stop Career Center in downtown Pleasantville at 2 South Main Street. The facility houses the Atlantic Cape May WIB, Job Connection, TANF, (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) New Jersey Youth Corps and YouthWORKS that were previously located at 750 West Delilah Road in Pleasantville and will also include the offices of the New Jersey State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Unemployment Insurance and Employment Services that will be relocated from 1433 Bacharach Boulevard in Atlantic City.

The purpose of the move is to co-locate partners and services in one location so that customers may access all services in a more convenient manner. Adults, dislocated workers and youth, ages 14 –21 will continue to receive the same services, but they will now all be available in the same building.

Services include: employment and training, employment services, (job seekers and employers) social services, (TANF/GA/Food Stamps) unemployment insurance, veterans employment services, vocational rehabilitation and youth employment services.

"The idea of 'one stop shopping' is primarily the goal here," stated Steve Gillian, Chairperson of the Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board (WIB). "The WIB wanted all individuals in need of employment, training or social services to be able to come to the 2 South Main Street location and receive all services needed to get them back on track and able to sustain themselves through employment in one convenient location."

For additional information about the move, please call (609) 485-0153 ext. 362 or visit www.atlanticcapewib.info.
