Atlantic City-Brigantine Connector

New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced a railroad crossing rehabilitation project that will require the closure and detour of the Atlantic City-Brigantine Connector off the Atlantic City Expressway next week in Atlantic City.

Beginning at 6 AM on Monday, May 2, the at-grade railroad crossing located on the Atlantic City-Brigantine Connector off the Atlantic City Expressway will be closed between Bacharach Boulevard and the AC Expressway for 10 days.

Several on and off ramps to the Atlantic City Expressway will also be closed. The work will be done during daylight hours due to the equipment being utilized.

The following detours will be in place:

Northbound Detour
•  Exit 1 from the AC Expressway and the ramp from N. Mississippi Avenue to the Atlantic City-Brigantine Connector will be closed
•  Traffic from the AC Expressway will be directed to Columbus Boulevard to Arctic Avenue to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard across Route 30 to the Marina District

Southbound Detour
•  The Atlantic City-Brigantine Connector southbound will be completely closed
•  All traffic from the Marina District/Brigantine will be directed to Huron Avenue/Route 87 to Route 30 to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard to Baltic Avenue

The traffic detours will be coordinated with the local police. If work is completed earlier, the roadways will be reopened accordingly. NJ TRANSIT train service will not be impacted by the construction.
