Atlantic County Swamp Trail Boardwalk Reopens December 20

Atlantic County residents and visitors may once again enjoy the entire 1.8 mile length of the Swamp Trail Boardwalk in the Atlantic County Park at Estell Manor. It will reopen on Saturday, December 20 following the completion of repairs to a 1,680-foot portion of the wooden walkway that sustained severe storm damage.

The Swamp Trail boardwalk is a fully accessible, elevated wooden nature trail, one of the longest structures of its kind in the region. Along the trail one can see streams, a cedar swamp, a coastal forest and magnificent views of the South River. It provides an opportunity to view unique and fragile ecosystems with minimal impact on the environment.

The Atlantic County Park at Estell Manor is one of 16 facilities within the county park system. The Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Bethlehem Loading Company ruins, The Warren E. Fox Nature Center, recreation and fitness equipment, playgrounds, ball fields, hike and bike trails and more can be enjoyed at this location.

The Atlantic County Park at Estell Manor is located at 109 Route 50. It is open to the public seven days a week, 7:30 AM to dusk.
