Sign Up Today to Play in September 20 Intergenerational Golf Tournament

A 9-hole intergenerational golf tournament will be held on Saturday, September 20 at the John F. Gaffney Green Tree Golf Course, Rt. 559, Egg Harbor Township. The tournament will begin at 3 PM.

Each foursome will consist of two teams with one adult and one youth age 17 years of age or younger. Participants may sign up as a twosome or foursome. The $35 fee per twosome includes greens fee, cart, food and prizes. Prizes will be awarded for junior longest drive, junior closest to the pin, junior straightest drive, low gross twosome and youngest golfer.

“Twosomes may include a parent and child, grandparent and child, older friend and youth, aunt or uncle and niece or nephew, or any other combination of mature player and youth,” explained John Hammer, General Manager and PGA professional. “It’s a fun day for all and a great way to introduce the game of golf to a youngster.”

The tournament is co-sponsored by the Atlantic County Division of Intergenerational Services and the Atlantic County Improvement Authority.
