Medical Marijuana Seminar - August 20

Atlantic County government will host a seminar to discuss the medical use of marijuana to treat various physical and psychological disorders featuring Thomas Prendergast, Chief Operating Officer for Compassionate Care Foundation, a designated dispensary of medical marijuana located in Egg Harbor Township, Dr. Harry Glass, a physician with Addiction Recovery Systems, and Dr. Norman Chazin, a local psychiatrist.

The seminar will be held on Wednesday, August 20 at 10 AM in the Stillwater Building, 201 S. Shore Road, Northfield.
Discussions will include: state regulations of marijuana, the variety of strains grown to treat different disorders, and the risks associated with the use of medical marijuana for patients in recovery from substance abuse. Representa-tives from mental health and substance abuse agencies will also provide input on the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes.
