Atlantic County Nursing Home Found Deficiency-Free

Meadowview Nursing Home, a 180-bed long term care and rehabilitation facility, has been found deficiency-free in its annual inspection by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.

The inspection of the county nursing home was conducted on-site, without prior notice to the facility, over a four-day period in February during which the state's inspection team evaluated all aspects of resident care and nursing facility procedures and practices, assessing facility compliance with more than 150 specific state and federal standards. Areas of care evaluated by inspectors included resident rights, access to care, activities, assessment and care plans, health care and dietary service, housekeeping, staffing, quality of care and quality assurance. The evaluation also included an inspection of medical records, observation of resident care, inspection of all areas of the facility and interviews of residents and their family members in addition to staff.

"Meadowview has earned a perfect score, and I could not be more proud of its staff nor more pleased for its residents," said County Executive Dennis Levinson. "This exemplary evaluation confirms the outstanding quality of care and strict compliance with regulations that has to be very reassuring to family members who have entrusted us with the care of their loved ones."

While Meadowview has received outstanding evaluations in the past, this is the first deficiency-free inspection in recent memory, according to Meadowview Administrator Michelle Savage.

"I am so proud of our team," exclaimed Savage. "In the past several years we have increased our internal standards which has helped us to earn this achievement."
Meadowview Nursing Home is located at 235 Dolphin Avenue in Northfield. It offers comprehensive nursing, rehabilitation, recreation and therapy services. A dedicated staff of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nurses’ aides work together to provide excellent care on a daily basis.
