Veterans Memorial Program - May 25 at 2 PM
On Friday, May 25, Atlantic County government will hold its 28th annual Veterans Memorial Program to honor our military heroes for their sacrifice and service to our country.
The ceremony will feature honor guard, bagpipers and buglers and the traditional presentation of the memorial wreath. Major General William M. Matz, Jr. will deliver the keynote address.
The ceremony will take place at 2 PM at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery at the Atlantic County Park, Route 50, Estell Manor.
On Wednesday, May 23 area boy scouts and girl scouts will place approximately 3,000 American flags at each of the grave sites with the assistance of Parks staff. Scouts who perform this service on two of three occasions during the year (Memorial Day, July Fourth and Veterans Day) will be eligible to receive the Atlantic County Patriotism Patch in recognition of their efforts.
