Staying Up in a Down Economy - March 29
The Atlantic County Advisory Commission on Women will host a panel discussion on how to stay up during a down economy at its 15th annual legislative breakfast on Thursday, March 29, 8:00-10:00 AM at the Linwood Country Club, 500 Shore Road, Linwood.
From putting food on the table for their children and making ends meet, to remaining empowered to foster positive changes in their lives and in the community, women continue to fight through economic challenges. The panel will examine ways to thrive not just survive in this challenging economy.
Expert panelists will include Assemblywoman Pamela R. Lampitt (D-6), professional advocate and social service consumer expert Joanna Kirvin, and Margie Barham, executive director of the Community Food Bank of NJ Southern Branch.
The cost to attend the breakfast is $25. The Commission will also be collecting non-perishable food items for donation to the Community Food Bank.
